Akkuyu NPP. A staff training simulator has been delivered to the Akkuyu NPP site (Turkey). This is an exact replica of a nuclear power plant control room. With this simulator, the operating staff will be trained to improve their skills and licensed for the nuclear site to be put in operation. Meanwhile, ZiO-Podolsk (part of Rosatom’s power engineering division AtomEnergoMash) completed another major step in the assembly of the high-pressure preheater (PVD-7) for Akkuyu Unit 1, having placed the tube bundle into the casing. PVD-7 is now fitted with internals.

The high-pressure preheater is a core component of the nuclear plant’s turbine unit. Its function is to heat the water fed into the steam generator by condensing steam exiting the turbine.
