They had a meeting with the Plant Manager Vladimir Povarov, toured to all operating power units and to the construction site of Units 6 and 7 (Phase II), and had a look at the full-scale simulators of Units 5 and 6. “I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of funds Novovoronezh NPP invests in modernization and, correspondingly, safety of the operating reactors. I have to admit that at present Germany is inferior to this level,” Thomas Findler, Head of the Electrical Department of Gundremmingen NPP (Germany), said. Full-scale simulators of Units 5 and 6, where absolutely all systems of the power unit are represented, produced great impression on the guests. According to Gundremmingen specialists, their simulators represent only part of the systems.
