NIKIET has become member of CERN
back to contentsAs a result of studying and discussing of the prepared material the SHiP collaboration made a decision to accept NIKIET as an associated member of the collaboration. NIKIET was offered to take part in creating a new detector for physical experiment of SHiP in CERN, taking into consideration the Institute’s experience in creating mechanical constructions of artificially produced particles detectors – NA48 and CMS detectors at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), E-391a at KEK (Tsukuba, Japan). Within the frameworks of creation of a new detector upon the initiative of CERN it is planned to use contacts of young engineers to exchange experience while producing non-standard equipment and new physical installation systems.
