Russia and Armenia signed an intergovernmental agreement

The Armenian plant power unit is due to be withdrawn from service in September 2016, while the country’s government wants to extend the life term until September 2026. According to the agreement, a complex examination of the unit is to be conducted before the end of the first quarter of 2015, after which the program of the unit preparation for life extension will be elaborated. The program realization is planned for 2015-2016. An application for the life extension license will follow, in September 2016, after which the final stage of work, planned to be finished by 2019, will be conducted.
