“We have joint nuclear safety projects that are clearly of mutual interest for us. And I personally hope there will be more of them,” Mr. Moniz commented on the outlook of U.S.-Russia relations in the nuclear field for Trump’s presidential term. He refused to speculate on the plans of President-elect Donald Trump who will be inaugurated in late January 2017. “There are many things that can be done for mutual and global benefit,” he said. The new administration will take over in 45 days and it is the new government that will decide what can and what cannot be done in relations with Russia, he added.
