One of the core universities of the Russian nuclear industry, the National Research Nuclear University MEPHI was visited by a Japanese delegation from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT). During the visit of the Japanese colleagues the parties held a constructive exchange of opinions of perspectives of interaction between the two largest engineering universities. Having appraised the current results of the joint works, the meeting participants noted that there were other opportunities for broadening the cooperation between our universities. The special focus was on the necessity of development of academic mobility between the universities and of development of joint educational programs. At this stage of the partnership the parties also agreed to start soon the program of students’ exchanges, a number of joint educational programs, as well as to arrange for short-term internships for Japanese students in laboratories of NRNU MEPHI, and joint scientific workshops and conferences. The meeting was attended by students, post-graduates and employees of the Nuclear Power Center.
